British AI Firm Nscale Secures $3.36 Billion in Pre-IPO Financing
British AI cloud company Nscale has secured $3.36 billion in convertible financing ahead of its planned U.S. IPO. The funding comes shortly before the company's anticipated stock market debut.

British AI cloud provider Nscale has secured $3.36 billion in convertible financing, the company announced on Friday. The significant funding round, ahead of its planned initial public offering (IPO) on the New York Stock Exchange, highlights the substantial capital required for AI data center development.
The financing was led by hedge fund Third Point. It includes $2.36 billion available to Nscale immediately and an additional $1 billion from existing investor Nvidia, which is slated to be received in mid-November. The notes will convert into equity shares upon the completion of the IPO.
Nscale, which filed its IPO paperwork last week, is reportedly expected to be valued at approximately $35 billion. The company aims to raise around $3 billion in the offering.
Spun out from Australian cryptocurrency mining company Arkon Energy two years ago, Nscale has amassed contracts worth over $103 billion, according to its IPO filing. The company is currently developing several large data center campuses, including locations in Norway and West Virginia.
