Broad Arrow Auctions to Sell Rare 1998 RUF CTR 2 Sport in Monterey
Broad Arrow Auctions has listed a 1998 RUF CTR 2 Sport, one of only 14 produced, for its upcoming Monterey Jet Center sale with an estimate of up to $3.5 million.

Broad Arrow Auctions, a division of Hagerty, will present a 1998 RUF CTR 2 Sport at its 2025 Monterey Jet Center auction. The vehicle, estimated to fetch between $3 million and $3.5 million, is one of only 14 Sport-specification units built, marking it as a rare find in the collector car market.
Launched in 1995, the CTR 2 was based on the Porsche 993 chassis and gained notoriety for its 217-mph top speed. This specific example is unique as one of just four CTR 2s equipped with an all-wheel-drive system. Having been serviced by RUF North America in July 2025, the car shows 16,679 miles on the odometer.
Broad Arrow executives note that these modified Porsche-based supercars are increasingly targeted by younger, performance-oriented collectors. The auction catalog also features a 1991 Porsche 911 reimagined by Singer, estimated at $2.9 million to $3.2 million. The sale coincides with the broader Monterey automotive events, where the firm aims to repeat its recent performance in the high-end modified vehicle segment.
