Broadcasting Fee Service Consolidates Press and Service Communications on rundfunkbeitrag.de
The Broadcasting Fee Service for ARD, ZDF, and Deutschlandradio has integrated its press and service communications onto the main website, rundfunkbeitrag.de. This consolidation aims to centralize information and improve user accessibility.

The Broadcasting Fee Service, responsible for collecting Germany's public broadcasting fee on behalf of ARD, ZDF, and Deutschlandradio, has moved its press and service communications sections to its primary website, rundfunkbeitrag.de. This move, enabled by a technical overhaul of the site completed in late 2025, consolidates information for media and the public.
The reorganization aims to centralize information delivery and enhance discoverability. Service communications, which address inquiries and provide guidance on the broadcasting fee for citizens, are now more easily accessible through the website's search functions. Users can also navigate to these sections via the main menu, under 'Über uns' ('About Us'), then 'Presse & Aktuelles' ('Press & Current Affairs').
While the press section is tailored for journalists, the service communications part is designed to assist fee payers. It aims to clarify legal regulations concerning fee collection, answer common questions, and offer practical advice for managing fee-related matters. The goal is to provide clear, user-friendly information and facilitate the use of digital services.
"Integrating these sections into the main website allows us to expand our offerings of press and service information," stated Goran Goić, Head of Corporate Communications. "We aim to provide reliable, understandable, and up-to-date information about the broadcasting fee and continuously improve the user experience." Future development will prioritize content usability, improved information retrieval, and technical enhancements to the platform.
