BTQ Technologies Named Security Partner for MoonPay Korea's Stablecoin Infrastructure

BTQ Technologies Corp. has been appointed as the security partner for MoonPay Korea's forthcoming stablecoin infrastructure in South Korea. The partnership will see BTQ integrate its post-quantum cryptography security technology into MoonPay's full-stack on-chain system for Korean won-backed stablecoins.

BTQ's role involves securing the entire infrastructure, encompassing issuance support, distribution, wallets, settlement, and last-mile delivery to users and merchants. This includes protection against current and future threats, particularly the risks posed by quantum computing to existing cryptography.

The companies will jointly develop a phased post-quantum security roadmap and conduct a proof of concept with Korean banking institutions. This pilot will test BTQ's Quantum Secure Stablecoin Network (QSSN) for secure transaction signing and key management.

MoonPay Korea's infrastructure will connect to MoonPay's global payments network, which serves over 35 million customers in approximately 180 countries. This collaboration places BTQ's technology within a global payment ecosystem, facilitating broad distribution and cross-border settlement for Korean won-backed stablecoins.
