Buick Verano Production Reaches 1.5 Million Units
Buick has announced that the 1.5 millionth Verano sedan has rolled off the assembly line, coinciding with the debut of an updated model.
Buick announced on September 29 that its Verano sedan has reached a production milestone of 1.5 million units. The company also revealed an updated model, scheduled for market release soon.
The new Verano features 50 "luxury upgrades" and measures over five meters in length, with a track width of 1.6 meters and a wheelbase of 2.9 meters, both claimed to be class-leading. Design elements include a new front fascia and an optional "Bamboo Green" exterior color. The interior adopts a "yacht-inspired" wrap-around design, combining soft-touch materials with metallic accents.
Interior comfort is enhanced with features such as heated, ventilated, and massaging functions for the four-seat configuration. The seats also feature a new diamond-pattern quilting. Additional cabin refinements include a crystal-like rotary shifter and wood grain trim, complemented by a 121-color ambient lighting system.
For comparison, the current 2026 model Verano is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 174 kW and 350 Nm of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Its dimensions are 4996 mm in length, 1866 mm in width, and 1472 mm in height, with a 2905 mm wheelbase. Current pricing ranges from 159,900 to 189,900 yuan.
