Bulat Utemuratov Foundation hosts Shamshi Kaldayakov tribute in Madrid
The Bulat Utemuratov Foundation held a concert at Madrid's Auditorio Nacional de Música, featuring the first-ever Spanish-language performances of works by composer Shamshi Kaldayakov.
The Bulat Utemuratov Foundation presented the ”Shamshi Alemi” concert at the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid on October 21. The event marked the first time the compositions of Kazakh composer Shamshi Kaldayakov were performed in Spanish, aimed at bridging musical traditions between Central Asia and Spain.
The project serves as a cultural outreach initiative designed to introduce the legacy of the Kazakh composer to an international audience. By commissioning Spanish translations and performances, the foundation seeks to elevate the global profile of Kazakhstani music.
