Bulgin Introduces 6000 Series Hybrid Connectors
Bulgin has released new 6000 Series Buccaneer hybrid connectors that combine power and signal contacts into a single, sealed unit.
Bulgin, part of Infinite Electronics, has launched its new 6000 Series Buccaneer hybrid circular connectors. These connectors integrate both power and signal contacts into a single, rugged interface, addressing the need for compact solutions in space-constrained applications.
The new connectors are designed for smaller devices such as test and measurement equipment, sensors, and control systems. They maintain the robust performance characteristic of Bulgin's existing 6000 Series, while offering a consolidated connectivity solution.
The 6000 Series Hybrid Buccaneer features two power contacts rated at 16 A and signal contacts rated at 3 A. Available in configurations with two, four, or six signal contacts, they provide flexibility for designers. Combining power and signal in one housing reduces the overall footprint and simplifies cable management.
The connectors are IP68-rated, capable of submersion at 10 meters for two weeks, and have undergone testing for salt mist, dust, and thermal resistance. They will be showcased at the upcoming electronica trade fair in Munich.
