Bulgin Launches 6000 Series Hybrid Connectors
Bulgin has introduced its new 6000 Series Buccaneer hybrid connectors, combining power and signal connections into a single, rugged unit to save space.

Bulgin, an Infinite Electronics company, has launched its new 6000 Series Buccaneer hybrid connectors. These robust circular connectors are designed to integrate both power and signal connections into a single, compact interface.
The new connectors are engineered to meet the increasing demands for connectivity in smaller devices, such as test and measurement equipment, sensors, and control systems. They offer a space-saving solution without compromising the rugged performance of the existing 6000 Series. Each connector features two central power contacts rated at 16A, along with 3A signal contacts. Three configurations are available with two, four, or six signal contacts, providing flexibility for specific application requirements.
Mark Berry, Vice President of Product and Portfolio Management at Infinite Electronics, highlighted the significance of these connectors: "Modern design requires a smaller footprint without sacrificing performance. These connectors are a testament to our team's engineering precision, successfully integrating high-current power and signal channels into a sealed interface, offering engineers an optimized solution that withstands harsh environments."
The new product line maintains the proven design and robust performance of Bulgin's existing 6000 Series Buccaneer connectors, including the 30-degree push/pull locking mechanism and panel mount options. The connectors are IP68 rated and have been tested for submersion up to 10 meters for two weeks, ensuring reliable protection in demanding conditions. They have also undergone salt mist, dust, and thermal resistance testing.
Bulgin will be showcasing the new connectors alongside other solutions at the electronica trade fair in Munich from November 10-13.
