Burberry Marks 170 Years with Campaign Featuring 170 Individuals
Burberry has launched its global "170: The Anniversary Portraits" campaign to celebrate its 170th anniversary. The campaign highlights the fashion house's signature outerwear through 170 diverse individuals across four cities.

Burberry is marking its 170th anniversary with the launch of a global campaign titled "170: The Anniversary Portraits." The initiative celebrates the British fashion house's signature outerwear by featuring 170 individuals across London, New York, Seoul, and Shanghai.
The project, photographed by Jack Day and accompanied by a film directed by Hector Aponysus, showcases a diverse cast. Participants range from locally cast individuals and Burberry employees to personalities from the worlds of music, sport, art, literature, and culture, including notable figures like Lila Moss and OG Anunoby.
The campaign aims to illustrate how Burberry's outerwear has evolved over 170 years to adapt to changing weather, lifestyles, and dressing habits, while remaining a vehicle for individuality. Featured designs include iconic Heritage trench coats, contemporary interpretations in leather and cashmere, puffer jackets, and quilted outerwear inspired by traditional British countryside styles.
Chief Creative Officer Daniel Lee stated that while the individual portraits vary, collectively they represent individuality and self-expression. The campaign connects Burberry's historical emphasis on functional outerwear with contemporary self-expression within global urban settings.
