Bureau Veritas has acquired three companies in Germany, Denmark, and South Korea to expand its services in cybersecurity, nuclear decommissioning support, and sustainability consulting.

PARIS – Bureau Veritas, a global player in testing, inspection, and certification services, is expanding its reach through three acquisitions in the cybersecurity, nuclear, and transition services sectors. These moves aim to create new strategic strongholds for the company in rapidly growing markets.
The company has agreed to acquire Dornier Hinneburg in Germany, which provides technical advisory and radiation protection services for the decommissioning of nuclear facilities. This acquisition, involving 108 experts and generating approximately €14 million in revenue in 2024, will bolster Bureau Veritas' capabilities in the nuclear industry.
To accelerate its development in cybersecurity, Bureau Veritas is acquiring the Danish firm Institute For Cyber Risk (IFCR). With 25 professionals and €3 million in 2024 revenue, this acquisition establishes Bureau Veritas' presence in the Nordic cybersecurity market.
Furthermore, Bureau Veritas is strengthening its sustainability consulting services by acquiring EcoPlus in South Korea. This startup specializes in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) certification and brings 12 engineers and approximately €1 million in revenue. The acquisition increases Bureau Veritas' footprint in the sustainability sector.
CEO Hinda Gharbi stated that these transactions align with the company's strategy to accelerate growth in high-potential areas and expand its geographical presence. The acquisitions are intended to deliver greater value to customers in these technically specialized fields.
