Bureau Veritas Acquires IDP Group to Enhance Digital Building Solutions
Inspection, testing, and certification company Bureau Veritas has acquired IDP Group, a provider of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and digital twin services.
Paris – Inspection, testing, and certification group Bureau Veritas announced its acquisition of IDP Group, a specialist in Building Information Modeling (BIM), project management assistance, and digital twin services for the public and private sectors.
The acquisition aims to bolster Bureau Veritas' Buildings & Infrastructure solutions by integrating IDP Group's expertise in advanced BIM and digital twin technologies. IDP Group focuses on decarbonization and other key areas within its service offerings.
IDP Group, headquartered in the Barcelona region, reported revenues of €30.2 million in 2023 and employs approximately 500 skilled professionals. It will now serve as a Global Technical Center for BIM and digital solutions within Bureau Veritas.
This move aligns with Bureau Veritas' strategy to expand its leadership in the Buildings & Infrastructure market by investing in digital services and competencies to address sustainability challenges.
