Bureau Veritas Acquires PreScience to Expand Transportation Infrastructure Services

Bureau Veritas, a global entity in testing, inspection, and certification (TIC), announced on January 6, 2022, its acquisition of PreScience. PreScience, based in the United States, provides project management and construction management services primarily for transportation infrastructure projects, including highways, bridges, and rail/transit systems.

Established in 2013, PreScience offers support across the entire lifecycle of construction projects, from design development to project closeout. The company reported an expected revenue of approximately $25 million for 2021 and is recognized as a leading firm in California for project management, construction management, and construction engineering and inspection.

This acquisition will enhance Bureau Veritas' existing portfolio of Buildings & Infrastructure services in North America. The company aims to help clients reduce risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve performance across various industries within the rapidly developing US infrastructure sector.

The move is expected to bolster Bureau Veritas' presence in the growing US infrastructure market. The company stated that this expansion will contribute to developing safe, sustainable, and environmentally compliant infrastructure for the movement of people and goods.
