Bureau Veritas Acquires US Analytical Testing Firm Galbraith Laboratories
Testing, inspection, and certification company Bureau Veritas has acquired Galbraith Laboratories Inc., a US-based firm specializing in analytical testing solutions for various sectors.
Bureau Veritas, a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification services, announced the acquisition of Galbraith Laboratories Inc. The US-based company specializes in advanced analytical testing solutions.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen Bureau Veritas' position within the consumer healthcare and industrial chemical supply chains. Galbraith's expertise will complement Bureau Veritas' existing services, covering areas from research and development through manufacturing to the end consumer.
Founded in 1950 and headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, Galbraith Laboratories employs approximately 70 people. The company reported revenues of €8 million in 2021 and is known for its custom analytical methods and industry-specific knowledge.
Bureau Veritas CEO Didier Michaud-Daniel stated that the acquisition will enhance the company's presence in North America and expand its analytical capabilities in consumer healthcare, personal care, and industrial chemical markets. Brenda Thornburgh, owner of Galbraith, noted that joining Bureau Veritas will allow for expanded capabilities and client services through the group's global reach.
