Testing, inspection, and certification services company Bureau Veritas has appointed François Chabas as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and a member of the Group Executive Committee. The appointment is effective September 3, 2018.
Chabas moves into the CFO role from his current position as CFO for the Bureau Veritas Europe Zone. He will be responsible for leading the group's financial teams and continuing transformation projects, including the implementation of a new financial information system and cash management optimization.
Didier Michaud-Daniel, Chief Executive Officer of Bureau Veritas, expressed his satisfaction with the appointment. He highlighted Chabas's thorough understanding of the company's global operations, strategic challenges, and competitive environment.
In related moves, Nicolas Tissot has been named Special Advisor to the CEO, and Pascal Quint appointed Group General Counsel. Tissot was recognized for launching large-scale transformational projects for the financial function over the past two years.
