Bureau Veritas expands cybersecurity services with Secura acquisition

Testing, inspection, and certification company Bureau Veritas has strengthened its cybersecurity capabilities by acquiring a majority stake in the Dutch firm Secura B.V. This acquisition is a key component of Bureau Veritas's strategy to expand its cybersecurity conformity assessment services.

Founded in 2000, Secura provides security testing, audit, training, and certification services covering people, organization, and technology. The company employs 100 people across its centers in Eindhoven and Amsterdam, serving an international client base in sectors including technology, energy, industrial, automotive, financial, public, and healthcare.

As cybersecurity threats continue to evolve, businesses across all industries face increasing risks. The acquisition of Secura allows Bureau Veritas to offer more comprehensive solutions for risk management and assurance of digital security.

This move aligns with Bureau Veritas's broader objective to broaden its service portfolio in testing, inspection, and certification, particularly within rapidly developing markets such as cybersecurity.
