Bureau Veritas Reports Cyber Attack

Paris – Global testing, inspection, and certification company Bureau Veritas reported on Saturday, November 20, 2021, that its cybersecurity system detected a cyber attack.

In response, the group immediately activated all its cybersecurity procedures. A preventive decision was made to temporarily take its servers and data offline to protect clients and the company while investigations and corrective measures are underway.

This action has resulted in partial unavailability or slowdown of services and client interfaces. Bureau Veritas' teams, supported by external IT experts, are working to ensure business continuity and minimize disruption for clients, employees, and partners.

The company has also contacted relevant authorities for additional support to resume normal operations in the short term. Bureau Veritas has requested understanding and trust from its clients.
