Bureau Veritas Reshapes Executive Committee for Growth
Bureau Veritas has restructured its Executive Committee to align with strategic goals and capture future growth opportunities. New regional divisions and digital leadership roles are being established.

Paris โ December 8, 2023 โ Bureau Veritas, a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) services, has announced a significant reshaping of its Executive Committee. This strategic evolution is designed to better position the company to seize key future growth opportunities and align its operations with its strategic imperatives.
The company is splitting its current Asia Pacific and Middle East geographical cluster into two new regions within its Commodities, Industries & Facilities (CIF) division: Middle East, Caspian & Africa and Asia Pacific (including China and India). This adjustment aims to leverage distinct regional market potential and improve resource utilization.
Furthermore, Bureau Veritas is establishing a new role, Executive Vice-President, Corporate Development & Sustainability. This position underscores the company's commitment to embedding sustainability at the core of its activities and accelerating its sustainability strategy. A new Chief Digital Officer (CDO) role has also been created to drive digital innovation, enhance internal efficiencies, and develop new client-facing solutions.
The changes, effective January 1, 2024, include the appointments of Juliano Cardoso to the new role of Executive Vice-President, Corporate Development & Sustainability; Surachet Tanwongsval as Executive Vice-President, Commodities, Industries & Facilities, Asia Pacific; and Philipp Karmires as Executive Vice-President and Group Chief Digital Officer. CEO Hinda Gharbi expressed confidence in the enhanced leadership team's ability to drive the company forward.
