Testing and certification company Bureau Veritas announced today it has signed an agreement to acquire The APP Group. The Australian firm provides assurance, compliance, project management, and advisory services across the building and infrastructure sectors.
The acquisition is intended to significantly strengthen Bureau Veritas' position in the Asia-Pacific region and support its growth in infrastructure projects. It aligns with the company's strategy to expand its leadership in the buildings and infrastructure sector. The APP Group has operated in Australia for 35 years and employs over 500 professionals.
In 2023, The APP Group reported revenues of €87 million. The transaction is expected to bolster Bureau Veritas' expertise in project management and construction supervision. Hinda Gharbi, CEO of Bureau Veritas, stated the acquisition marks a significant milestone in the company's growth strategy for the region.
The deal is subject to regulatory approval and is anticipated to close by the end of the year. It is expected to enhance service offerings and support clients in new market opportunities.
