Bureau Veritas to Audit Klépierre Iberia Shopping Center Reopenings

Bureau Veritas has been contracted to audit Klépierre Iberia's properties, including seven shopping centers in Spain and three in Portugal, along with the company's offices across the Iberian Peninsula. The audit will ensure all sites comply with the company's Global Safe Site Excellence certification as they reopen following the pandemic.

The audit will focus on preventative measures for personnel safety, management of cleaning, hygiene, and disinfection plans, as well as compliance with applicable regulations. Klépierre Iberia aims with these measures to exceed the requirements set by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Spanish and Portuguese governments.

Luis Pires, Managing Director of Klépierre Iberia, emphasized that these actions signal a strong commitment to safety and COVID-19 prevention. He stated the goal is also to facilitate the restart of business activity and customer access to shopping centers within legal limits, while prioritizing visitor well-being.

Bertrand Martin, Senior Vice-President of Bureau Veritas Spain and Portugal, noted that the Global Safe Site certification provides necessary reliability for companies like Klépierre Iberia during these challenging times. He added that the certification process contributes to implementing essential protection, prevention, and disinfection measures in their shopping centers and offices.
