The event is recognized as the world's largest gathering dedicated to floating offshore wind technology, expected to draw approximately 1,000 international experts aiming to advance the sector and its integration into the global renewable energy landscape.
During the conference, Bureau Veritas plans to present on the topic of extending the operational lifetime of wind turbines. Gaël Pouchin, project manager for Bureau Veritas’ wind business unit, is set to discuss the general principles and methodologies involved in extending the life of both onshore and offshore wind turbines. The company has recently developed guidelines outlining the steps for conducting lifetime extension studies, intended to aid asset owners in their decision-making processes.
Bureau Veritas will also highlight its role in providing classification services for offshore platforms and floating units, contributing to enhanced safety for offshore operators and service vessel owners. Through targeted maintenance programs and digitized Asset Integrity Management (AIM) solutions, the company aims to prolong the lifespan of assets and optimize operational expenditures.
