Paris – Bureau Veritas announced on June 30, 2026, that it has entered exclusive negotiations to sell its Oil & Petrochemicals and Coal testing and inspection business to Triton Partners. This divestment is part of the Group's LEAP I 28 strategy, which focuses on portfolio rotation toward higher-growth and higher-margin businesses.

The business being sold generated approximately EUR 450 million in revenue in 2025 and operates a global network. Bureau Veritas stated that this segment has grown at a lower rate than the Group and is margin-dilutive, prompting the strategic decision to divest. The company aims to redeploy proceeds towards businesses that offer greater growth and profitability.

"This divestment is fully aligned with our LEAP I 28 strategy and our commitment to actively manage our portfolio," said Hinda Gharbi, Chief Executive Officer of Bureau Veritas. "We are confident that under the leadership of Triton Partners, this business will continue to develop successfully." The transaction is based on an enterprise value of EUR 470 million.

The sale is expected to have a positive impact on Bureau Veritas' organic growth, adjusted operating margin, and return on capital employed, with a neutral impact on earnings post-closing. The transaction is subject to customary conditions and employee consultations, with a targeted completion by the end of the first quarter of 2027.
