Burger King to Relaunch Chicken Nuggets with New Recipe
Burger King is revamping its chicken nuggets, set to debut on September 1. The move follows customer feedback and is part of a broader strategy to enhance authenticity and menu quality.

Burger King is set to relaunch its chicken nuggets with an updated recipe on September 1. This menu overhaul is part of the fast-food chain's broader strategy to increase authenticity and improve the customer experience.
The company acknowledged that customer feedback indicated dissatisfaction with the current nuggets, describing them as "rubbery," "dry," and "disappointing." Burger King stated that "thousands of people" provided this feedback, prompting the decision to "rethink every element" of the product.
The revamped nuggets will feature all-white meat, a crispier breading, and an improved marinade. Accompanying the new nuggets will be an updated sauce lineup, including sweet and sour, honey mustard, buffalo, and a limited-time savory sauce.
This initiative aligns with Burger King's focus on authenticity, particularly appealing to Gen Z consumers, and a commitment to a tastier menu and stronger social media engagement. "We take Guest feedback seriously, and when we received thousands of texts, calls, and comments telling us our nuggets needed a total overhaul, we listened," said Amy Alarcon, head chef, Burger King U.S. & Canada.
The relaunch comes after Burger King reported an 8.5% increase in U.S. same-store sales last quarter, outpacing competitors. The new nuggets will be priced from $1.99 for a four-piece to $7.49 for a 20-piece.
