Bybit Adds Over 200 Global Equities to Perpetual Contracts Offering

Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit has expanded its perpetual contracts to include over 200 TradFi-themed listings, providing 24/7 access to global equities and pre-IPO assets. The move aims to bridge traditional finance markets with the digital asset space.

The platform's new TradFi Perpetual Contracts are designed to mirror the performance of traditional financial instruments. Bybit, which ranks as the world's second-largest crypto exchange by trading volume, stated that the selection offers high-quality derivatives coverage of traditional finance assets.

This expansion comes as the lines between traditional financial markets and digital assets continue to blur. Bybit seeks to offer its user base a wider range of investment opportunities by integrating these new contract types.

The contracts themselves do not represent direct ownership of the underlying assets but derive their value from the price movements of those assets. This allows users to speculate on or hedge against traditional market fluctuations without holding the actual securities.
