Bybit Adds Stocks Trading to Platform

Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit has announced the expansion of its services to include stock trading. This new feature provides eligible users with access to over 1,000 U.S.-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), including major companies like Apple, NVIDIA, and Tesla.

The service broadens Bybit's multi-asset platform, now integrating U.S. equities alongside its existing digital asset and traditional market offerings. Trading is conducted using the USDC stablecoin and requires completed KYC verification. Users can benefit from features such as dividends and stock splits.

Bybit co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou emphasized that the addition of stocks is part of the company's evolution into a new financial platform. He stated the goal is to connect markets and offer users broader access to financial markets and greater freedom to pursue investment opportunities.

Stock trading is facilitated through Bybit's regulated brokerage infrastructure in partnership with U.S. broker-dealer Alpaca. Alpaca also handles the custody of securities. The service offers direct economic ownership of underlying assets, rather than derivatives. Bybit highlights zero commissions and 24/5 trading availability.
