Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit has officially launched its Indonesian operations and exchange platform, marking a significant expansion into the Southeast Asian market. The launch follows Bybit's acquisition of a majority stake in PT. NPC Futures, the operator of the Indonesian crypto firm NOBI.
The move aims to tap into Indonesia's growing digital asset market, which has seen increasing interest from both retail and institutional investors. Bybit will now offer its suite of trading services, including spot and derivatives trading, directly to Indonesian users.
NOBI, previously known for its AI-powered crypto trading tools and advisory services, will integrate its local expertise and customer base with Bybit's global infrastructure. This partnership is expected to accelerate Bybit's growth and compliance within Indonesia's regulatory framework.
Regulatory approval for the partnership was secured from Indonesia's Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (Bappebti). Bybit has stated its commitment to adhering to local regulations and providing a secure trading environment for its Indonesian users.
