Bybit Launches Stock Trading for Over 1,000 U.S. Stocks and ETFs

Bybit, a cryptocurrency exchange with over 80 million users, has announced the launch of stock trading. The platform now offers eligible users access to more than 1,000 U.S. stocks and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), including major companies like Apple, NVIDIA, and Tesla. This move expands Bybit's multi-asset platform, integrating traditional securities with its existing digital asset offerings.

Users meeting eligibility requirements and completing KYC verification can trade supported U.S. stocks and ETFs using USDC. Unlike derivatives, this stock trading provides direct economic ownership of the underlying securities. Orders are routed through Bybit's regulated brokerage infrastructure and executed via Alpaca, a U.S. broker-dealer.

"Stocks are an important part of our development into The New Financial Platform," said Ben Zhou, co-founder and CEO of Bybit. "Users are increasingly expecting a more integrated experience across different financial markets. By making stocks available, we are not only adding a new investment category but also providing broader access to financial markets and more freedom to capture opportunities."

The new stock trading service operates 24/5 and includes features such as fractional shares, direct economic exposure to underlying stocks, and support for corporate actions like dividends and stock splits. Bybit also plans to introduce voting rights in a future phase. The company stated that no trading commissions will be charged for eligible stock purchases and sales.
