Bybit Launches Trading for Over 1,000 U.S. Stocks and ETFs Globally

Bybit, a cryptocurrency exchange trusted by over 80 million users, has begun offering trading for U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The platform now provides eligible users in approved jurisdictions with access to over 1,000 U.S.-listed securities, including major companies like Apple, NVIDIA, and Tesla, as well as the Invesco QQQ ETF. Access requires completion of Know Your Customer (KYC) verification.

This expansion positions Bybit as a more comprehensive financial platform, bridging digital assets with traditional markets. Users can trade stocks and ETFs using USDC, a stablecoin, integrating stock investments into the same ecosystem used for cryptocurrencies. Unlike derivative instruments, stock trading grants users direct economic ownership of the underlying assets.

The exchange is partnering with U.S. broker-dealer Alpaca for order routing, clearing, and custody of securities. Key features of the new service include trading fractional shares of stocks and ETFs, 24/5 trading aligned with U.S. market hours, and zero commission on eligible stock purchases. Users can manage both their crypto and stock positions within the Bybit ecosystem.

Ben Zhou, Co-founder and CEO of Bybit, stated that the addition of stocks is a significant step toward realizing the company's vision of a new financial platform offering a more unified and liberated investment experience. Bybit believes the boundaries between traditional and crypto markets will blur in the future and is positioning itself to operate in both realms.
