Chinese automotive manufacturer BYD has launched a new "Shareholder Planet" feature integrated into its mobile application. This new functionality is designed to offer investors an easy and quick way to access key corporate information, including the latest financial reports and company events.
The feature can be located within the "Discover" section of the BYD App. It allows users to swiftly review up-to-date company news and official financial statements. The aim is to enhance investor accessibility to information and engagement with the company's operations.
BYD App, which first launched in 2021, serves as a consolidated platform for various services previously offered separately, such as cloud services and e-commerce. It is intended to provide customers with a comprehensive experience from car browsing and purchase through to usage and maintenance.
The company reported robust financial performance in 2024, with annual revenue reaching 777.02 billion yuan, a 29.02% increase year-over-year. Net profit saw a 34.00% rise, totaling 40.25 billion yuan.
Following its strong 2024 performance, BYD implemented one of its largest-ever dividend distributions in July 2025, allocating approximately 12.077 billion yuan in cash to its shareholders.
