BYD D11 Set for October 13 Launch, Electric Version Claims Over 1000km Range
Chinese automaker BYD Auto has announced its new D11 model will launch on October 13. The fully electric D11 EV version is slated to offer a range exceeding 1000 kilometers on a single charge.
BYD Auto has officially scheduled the market launch for its new D11 model for October 13, the company announced. The fully electric D11 EV variant, currently available for pre-sale, boasts an advertised CLTC range of over 1,000 kilometers on a full charge. Pre-sale prices for the vehicle range from 249,900 to 299,900 yuan.
The D11 EV measures 5,256 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,510 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,130 mm. The car features a spacious interior described as class-leading in terms of space. Other reported features include electrically adjustable front zero-gravity seats, a 31-speaker audio system, and an intelligent dimmable privacy glass that the company claims is the world's first dark PDLC adjustable glass.
BYD Auto plans to offer the D11 in both plug-in hybrid and fully electric configurations. However, only the fully electric EV model is currently open for pre-order. Details regarding the car's availability outside of China have not yet been disclosed.
BYD Auto is a significant player in the global electric vehicle market. The introduction of the D11, particularly its long-range electric variant, positions the company to compete in the premium electric sedan segment.
