BYD Denza N7 to receive UI update and energy-optimized Sentry Mode in 2027
Denza has outlined a roadmap for its N7 electric vehicle, promising a major software interface update and reduced power consumption for its surveillance mode by Q1 2027.
BYD’s Denza division is preparing a significant software overhaul for its N7 vehicle model. The company announced that a new user interface (UI) is currently under development, with a planned deployment scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
In addition to the interface refresh, the manufacturer is working on an energy-optimized version of its “Sentry Mode” or vehicle surveillance feature. Reducing the standby power draw of this feature has become a priority for EV manufacturers to prevent battery drain while vehicles are parked for extended periods. The complexity of the technical integration means the rollout timeline remains subject to further official confirmation.
These updates are part of the broader integration of the next-generation DiLink software architecture across the BYD lineup. The N7, currently in its 2025 iteration, remains a key model in Denza’s portfolio, utilizing an 800-volt silicon carbide high-voltage platform to support fast charging and performance.
