BYD Denza N8 Electric SUV Application Filed, Tri-Motor Version Offered
China's BYD Denza has filed an application for a fully electric SUV version of its N8 model. The upcoming model will also feature a tri-motor variant.
BYD Denza has submitted an application for the fully electric N8 SUV to China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), as part of its upcoming product catalog. The manufacturer plans to release three all-electric variants of the N8 SUV, including a performance-oriented version with a tri-motor setup.
The Denza N8 is positioned as a premium electric SUV, measuring 5150 mm in length, 1999 mm in width, and 1820 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3075 mm. It is designed to accommodate five passengers and boasts a top speed of 240 km/h.
Customers will have several customization options for the new N8. Choices include different wheel designs, brake caliper colors, and the option for side steps. The vehicle can also be equipped with various roof configurations and other exterior styling elements. All variants will come standard with an Event Data Recorder (EDR) system.
The introduction of the N8, particularly with its advanced tri-motor configuration, is expected to strengthen Denza's position in the competitive electric vehicle market, appealing to consumers seeking higher performance and advanced features.
