BYD's luxury electric vehicle brand, Denza, has announced that demonstrator vehicles for its new Z9S model have reached 91 cities and 159 dealerships throughout China. The pre-sale for the Z9S commenced on August 3rd, with a starting price set at 319,800 yuan (approximately $43,500 USD).

The Denza Z9S is being positioned as an electric sedan with a projected CLTC range of 1100 kilometers on a single charge, a figure claimed to be a world record for production electric vehicles. The car features the company's "Blade Battery" technology and is advertised to support rapid charging capabilities, with claims of adding 400 kilometers of range in just 5 minutes.

In terms of performance, Denza states the Z9S will offer a maximum output of 1210 horsepower, allowing for a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 2.68 seconds. These performance metrics are presented as segment-leading for luxury sedans priced under 500,000 yuan. The vehicle is also equipped with the "Sky Eye 5.0" advanced driver-assistance system.

The Z9S boasts a design characterized by "elegant momentum" with distinct front and rear styling. The interior utilizes premium materials such as Nappa leather, featuring zero-gravity front seats and a focus on rear passenger comfort. Customers can choose from seven exterior paint options and three interior color schemes.
