Display cars for BYD's Denza Z9S electric vehicle have arrived at 334 dealerships in 166 cities across China, the company announced on September 5. The Z9S, which began pre-sales in August, is priced between 319,800 and 389,800 yuan (approximately $44,000 - $53,500 USD).
The Denza Z9S features a CLTC range of 1100 kilometers, setting a new record for production electric vehicles globally. The car also incorporates BYD's 'Blade Battery' technology and 'Supercharging' capability, which is claimed to charge the vehicle in 5 minutes and reach full charge in 9 minutes, even in temperatures as low as -30 degrees Celsius.
Performance specifications include a combined maximum horsepower of 1210 PS and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.68 seconds. The vehicle is also equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems, such as the 'Eye of God 5.0' system.
The Z9S adopts the 'Elegant Momentum' design language and offers multiple exterior color options along with a luxurious interior, featuring Nappa leather seats and front seats with a 'zero gravity' function.
