BYD's emphasis on Chinese aesthetics and cultural elements in automotive design is gaining broader recognition, according to Executive Vice President He Zhiqi. He observed that many new car models increasingly resemble each other due to global design trends, making it difficult to distinguish between brands.

He Zhiqi stated that BYD has taken a different approach, developing distinct, original design languages for its five brands: Dynasty, Ocean, Fangchengbao, Denza, and Yangwang. These include elements like the "Dragon Face" for the Dynasty series and "Ocean Aesthetic" for the Ocean series. He emphasized that the incorporation of Chinese characters (汉字, hànzì) as emblems, distinctive "Chinese taillights," and Chinese language buttons represents a new aesthetic that is becoming more visible.

"Cars are products, design is language, but culture is the soul," He Zhiqi summarized the company's design philosophy. This approach aims to differentiate from competitors by integrating technological advancement with Chinese cultural identity.

He Zhiqi also shared official images of BYD's vehicles across its brands to showcase their unique designs. He also predicted a trend towards larger vehicle sizes in the coming years, driven by the torque of electric motors and lower running costs making larger cars more economically viable.
