BYD Opens Booking Consultations for Fangchengbao Bao 9 SUV
BYD has commenced booking consultations for its flagship SUV, the Fangchengbao Bao 9, in China. The vehicle showcases new features and is available in multiple color and interior options.
BYD Auto has officially begun nationwide booking consultations for its Fangchengbao Bao 9 flagship SUV. The company released new images revealing further configuration details for the model.
The exterior offers a choice of three solid colors (Flowing Gold, Meteorite Black, Universal Silver) and three two-tone options (Starlight Gold, Crimson Cloud Red, Deep Space Blue). The SUV features a split tailgate and utilizes a nano-ceramic clear coat. Interior color schemes include White-Brown, Grey-Black, and Red-Black dual-tone, with Nappa leather upholstery.
The Fangchengbao Bao 9's interior is described as a "5D cockpit," equipped with a 30-inch panoramic display and a 21.4-inch rear ceiling screen. It includes comfort seats with ventilation, heating, and massage functions for all rows.
Technically, the vehicle is built on the DMS hybrid platform and features the second-generation Blade Battery. It supports fast charging, an intelligent all-terrain recognition system (iATS), and rear-wheel steering. Advanced driver-assistance systems include "Tianyingzhiyan B" and a tire blowout stability control system (TSC).
Positioned as a 6-seat, plug-in hybrid large SUV, the Bao 9 measures 5270mm in length, 1999mm in width, and 1850mm in height, with a 3130mm wheelbase. It is powered by a 1.5T engine paired with front and rear electric motors, forming a four-wheel-drive system utilizing DM-i hybrid technology. The 66.48kWh battery provides an estimated WLTC electric-only range of 310km, with a combined range exceeding 1600km on a full tank and charge.
