Chinese automaker BYD announced on October 10 that it has produced its 150,000th new energy commercial vehicle. The Q3 fully electric tractor rolled off the production line at BYD's smart truck factory in Huai'an on October 9.
The BYD Q3 electric tractor utilizes the company's proprietary electric technologies and is equipped with its "Blade Battery" designed for commercial vehicles. It features a peak motor power of 600kW and supports fast charging, providing robust power and rapid energy replenishment for heavy-duty transport.
BYD's commercial vehicles are now distributed in over 70 countries and regions worldwide. The company also highlighted that its new energy buses have secured the top export position for three consecutive years, underscoring its significant global market presence in the electric bus sector.
The Huai'an manufacturing base for BYD's new energy commercial vehicles was completed and put into operation in 2023. The facility incorporates robotic automation across key production stages, including stamping, welding, painting, chassis assembly, and final assembly, supporting the company's expanding production capabilities.
