BYD Qin MAX Sales Exceed 10,000 Units for Second Consecutive Month

BYD announced that its Qin MAX model achieved sales of 12,066 units in September. This marks the second consecutive month the model has exceeded 10,000 units sold since its market introduction on August 13.
The Qin MAX, described as the "super-sized" model in the BYD Qin family, is available in both all-electric (EV) and plug-in hybrid (DM-i) variants. The vehicle's price range is between 99,900 and 143,900 yuan (approximately $13,800 to $19,900 USD). Dimensions for the car are 4866/1880/1495 mm with a wheelbase of 2820 mm.
The EV version features BYD's blade battery technology and fast-charging capabilities, along with advanced driver-assistance systems including city and highway navigation aids and parking assistance. The trunk capacity is 523 liters, expandable to 1450 liters.
The DM-i plug-in hybrid version combines a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with an electric motor. It offers a claimed pure electric range of 320 km and a combined range of 2,370 km on a full tank and charge. The official NEDC fuel consumption for the hybrid is rated at 2.59 liters per 100 km.
