BYD Reveals Interior Design Drafts for Second-Generation Seagull
BYD Auto's General Manager of Sales for the Ocean Network, Zhang Zhuo, has released design drafts for the interior of the second-generation Seagull. The vehicle showcases a new design language and an updated center console.
Chinese automaker BYD Auto has unveiled design drafts for the interior of its upcoming second-generation Seagull model. Zhang Zhuo, General Manager of Sales for BYD's Ocean Network, shared the sketches, which highlight a new design language and modifications to the dashboard.
The interior features a revised layout where physical buttons have been relocated below the air conditioning vents. The central area is expected to accommodate a wireless charging pad for mobile devices or additional storage space. Previous exterior design drafts indicated significant styling updates, including new headlight designs and a reshaped body line.
Dimensionally, the new Seagull has grown compared to its predecessor. The vehicle measures 4,205mm in length, 1,810mm in width, and 1,570mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,650mm. This represents an increase of 425mm in length and 150mm in wheelbase.
The second-generation Seagull will be fully electric, powered by a 95kW permanent magnet synchronous motor. It will utilize BYD's own LFP (lithium iron phosphate) batteries for propulsion.
