BYD Tang EV: 10,000th Unit Delivered, China Youth Football Founder Becomes Owner
BYD Auto has announced the delivery of its 10,000th Tang EV. Dong Lu, founder of China Youth Football, is among the new owners.
Automaker BYD Auto announced on July 23 that it has delivered its 10,000th Tang EV. Dong Lu, founder of China Youth Football, took delivery of one of these vehicles.
The BYD Tang EV was launched on June 17 and is the first D-segment flagship SUV from BYD's Dynasty network. Key features include the second-generation Blade battery and a 1000-volt electrical architecture. The SUV measures 5263mm in length, 1999mm in width, and 1790mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3130mm.
The model lineup starts at 239,900 yuan (approximately $33,000 USD) for the 800km rear-wheel-drive version with LiDAR. Prices go up to 309,900 yuan (approximately $42,700 USD) for the "Great Tang Flourishing Era" edition.
The rapid production and delivery rate for the Tang EV indicates strong market demand for BYD's electric vehicle technology and its growing presence in the competitive electric SUV market.
