BYD is set to unveil the new 8-series Tang SUV, a flagship model in its Dynasty family, at the Chengdu Auto Show commencing August 21. This mid-to-large size SUV adopts BYD's Dynasty design language and introduces several updates.

The vehicle will be equipped with the second-generation Blade battery and flash-charging technology. All models will come standard with the "Tian Shen Zhi Yan B" intelligent driving assistance system. The new model features revised styling, including a redesigned front grille, a贯穿式 (through-type) LED light bar, and updated taillights. Its dimensions are 5045mm in length, 1980mm in width, and 1760mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2950mm.

Power comes from an electric motor with a maximum output of 300 kW. Buyers can choose between two Blade battery capacities: 88.682 kWh and 105.792 kWh. These configurations provide an all-electric range of 730 km, 830 km, and up to 850 km according to CLTC standards. The flash-charging technology allows the battery to charge from 10% to 70% in approximately five minutes.

Furthermore, the 8-series Tang features the Yun Nian-A intelligent air body control system, which includes dual-chamber air suspension and intelligent road preview functions. This system aims to enhance driving comfort and stability across various road conditions.

BYD's new 8-series Tang SUV represents a significant addition to the company's electric vehicle lineup, offering improved range, charging capabilities, and advanced driver-assistance features.
