BYD Thailand Factory Marks Two Years of Operation, Exceeds 130,000 Deliveries
BYD has delivered over 130,000 new energy vehicles in Thailand as its local manufacturing plant celebrates its second anniversary and launches new models.

BYD has surpassed 130,000 cumulative deliveries of new energy vehicles in the Thai market, coinciding with the two-year anniversary of its local manufacturing facility. The company also announced the official launch of the BYD Seal Ion 5 DM-i in Thailand.
The factory, BYD's first overseas passenger vehicle production base located in Rayong, has an annual production capacity of 150,000 units. It currently produces five models locally: BYD Dolphin, BYD Atto 3, BYD Seal 5 DM-i, BYD Sealion 5 DM-i, and BYD Sealion 6 DM-i. All these models have obtained the "Made in Thailand" (MiT) certification from the Federation of Thai Industries.
At a commemorative event, the 130,000th vehicle, a BYD Seal Ion 5 DM-i, was delivered to Usa Samkham, the lead actress from the film "Letter to Grandmother." This milestone follows the plant's previous achievement of delivering its 70,000th vehicle in November 2025.
BYD's increased local production and delivery figures in Thailand signify its growing presence and commitment to the Southeast Asian market, leveraging its manufacturing capabilities to meet regional demand.
