BYD to Unveil New Vehicle Model at Guangzhou Auto Show
BYD confirmed it will debut a new vehicle model on November 27 at the Guangzhou Auto Show. Regulatory filings suggest the release is the next generation of the Han sedan.

Chinese automaker BYD has scheduled the reveal of a new vehicle for November 27 at the Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition. Lu Tian, general manager of the company's Dynasty sales division, announced the launch while highlighting recent sales growth.
While the company has not explicitly named the model, industry data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology confirms filings for a new vehicle matching the description. The upcoming model is expected to be a redesigned Han sedan, featuring an increased length of 5156 mm and a wheelbase of 3030 mm, marking a 110 mm increase in wheelbase over the current model.
Regulatory filings reveal technical specifications for the new series, which includes both battery-electric and plug-in hybrid variants. The electric versions range in output, with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration reaching a peak output of 520 kW. The plug-in hybrid model will feature a 1.5-liter engine paired with a 200 kW electric motor.
This launch coincides with strong performance for the company, as the Dynasty line surpassed 200,000 unit sales in October. The debut at the Guangzhou event is part of a broader push to refresh the brand's product lineup as competition in the domestic electric vehicle market intensifies.
