Chinese automaker BYD has unveiled the first official images of its upcoming flagship sedan, named "Da Han," as part of the company's "Dynasty" lineup. The vehicle is scheduled for its official public debut at the Chengdu Motor Show in August.

The BYD Da Han is positioned as the brand's first D-segment flagship sedan. It measures 5256 mm in length, 1999 mm in width, and 1510 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3130 mm. The model will be available in both fully electric and plug-in hybrid variants, offering different powertrain configurations.

The fully electric version will feature single-motor and dual-motor options. The single-motor setup provides 370 kW of power, while the dual-motor variant offers 200 kW and 370 kW respectively. The plug-in hybrid version is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine coupled with a 200 kW electric motor.

Battery capacity varies depending on the version. The fully electric model is equipped with a 102.326 kWh battery, offering an estimated range of up to 1008 km based on the CLTC cycle. The plug-in hybrid variant features a 54.489 kWh battery, providing an electric range of 370 km under the CLTC standard.

The introduction of the BYD Da Han signifies BYD's expansion into the premium sedan market. The car is expected to compete with other large sedans in China and potentially in international markets.
