BYD has unveiled details for the new user interface of its forthcoming third-generation Tang SUV, which includes a large "giant screen" and interactive AI features. The vehicle is expected to launch on the market this quarter.
The car's new interface will feature an AI companion described as "very lifelike," codenamed "Xiao Mian Bao." This assistant is designed to perceive, listen, and respond to user interactions. The system's windows can be freely combined and resized to suit user preferences. The interior design draws inspiration from science fiction spaceship control consoles.
The third-generation Tang is positioned as a flagship SUV within BYD's 8-series. It will be equipped with the latest battery technology, including the second-generation Blade Battery and fast-charging capabilities, offering a range of up to 850 km. The vehicle also features an intelligent four-wheel-drive system and air suspension.
Dimensions for the vehicle are 5045mm in length, 1980mm in width, and 1760mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2950mm. It offers ample space, including a class-leading rear legroom of over 1000mm. The new Tang is configured as a five-seater and includes an advanced driver-assistance system as standard.
