Chinese automaker BYD has produced the one millionth vehicle from its "Dynasty" model line. The milestone vehicle was a forthcoming Han flagship sedan, which is set for its official market launch.
The achievement highlights BYD's substantial growth in the electric vehicle sector. The "Dynasty" line is a primary sales driver for BYD, contributing approximately 9 million units to the company's first 15 million new energy vehicles sold. BYD's "Ocean" line has accounted for about 6 million units.
The completed Han sedan is the "Dynasty" line's first D-segment flagship model. It measures 5256mm in length, 1999mm in width, and 1510mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3130mm. The pure electric rear-wheel-drive version offers a maximum range of 1008 kilometers and features BYD's second-generation Blade battery and fast-charging technology. It also comes standard with LiDAR and the "Cloud-Ride" intelligent chassis system.
Han's pre-sale began in August, with prices ranging from 249,900 to 299,900 yuan. The official launch is scheduled for October 13. The production of the one millionth "Dynasty" vehicle, coinciding with the upcoming Han launch, signifies the importance of this new flagship and the "Dynasty" line's entry into a new phase of multi-million unit sales.
