BYD's Flagship Sedan "Dahan" to Begin Pre-sale at Chengdu Auto Show
BYD will commence pre-sales for its flagship large sedan, the "Dahan," at the Chengdu Motor Show on August 21. The vehicle will be available in both plug-in hybrid and all-electric variants.

BYD is set to begin pre-sales for its new flagship large sedan, dubbed the "Dahan," at the upcoming Chengdu Motor Show on August 21. The vehicle will offer consumers a choice between plug-in hybrid and all-electric powertrains.
The all-electric version of the "Dahan" boasts a CLTC range of up to 1008 kilometers. Dimensions for the sedan measure 5256 mm in length, 1999 mm in width, and 1510 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3130 mm. The all-wheel-drive variant is reported to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, with a top speed of 270 km/h.
Powertrain details reveal that the all-electric "Dahan" will be offered in single-motor and dual-motor configurations. The single-motor version will produce 370 kW, while the dual-motor setup will offer outputs of 200 kW and 370 kW. The plug-in hybrid model will be powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with a 200 kW electric motor.
The "Dahan" is positioned as BYD's premium large sedan and is expected to compete in a significant segment of the automotive market, particularly within China.
