ByteDance sees international revenue for Seedance model reach 50 percent
Half of the revenue generated by ByteDance’s video generation model Seedance now originates from overseas markets, with major domestic tech firms also adopting the technology.
International markets now account for 50 percent of the revenue generated by ByteDance's video generation model, Seedance. According to industry reports, the model has seen a fivefold increase in revenue from overseas operations over the past six months.
Within China, large-scale adoption is underway among major internet companies. Tencent and Bilibili have emerged as significant clients, utilizing the model’s capabilities at scale. The consistent use of computational resources and service contributions places these firms among the top contributors to the platform's domestic revenue stream.
ByteDance’s Volcano Engine division has been actively expanding the model's footprint by offering financial incentives and technical support to professional film projects globally. The strategy is bolstered by the October launch of Seedance 2.5 4K, an iteration designed to improve the rendering of facial expressions and intricate motion details.
