ByteXL Secures $9 Million for Tech and AI Skilling Expansion
Indian EdTech startup byteXL has raised $9 million to expand its network of engineering colleges and enhance its technology and AI skilling platforms.

Hyderabad-based B2B edtech startup byteXL has announced a $9 million (approximately ₹86.7 Cr) funding round led by Elevar Equity. Existing investors Kalaari Capital and The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation also participated in the round.
The fresh capital will be deployed to expand byteXL's network of partner institutions, strengthen its technology and AI learning platform, and build its academic and delivery teams. The company also plans to introduce new industry-aligned skilling programs.
ByteXL aims to grow its network from 40 institutions to 120 and reach 500,000 students across 15 states within the next two years. The startup indicated it would also bolster its institutional partnership teams to support this expansion.
Founded in 2019, byteXL partners with engineering colleges, particularly in Tier II and III cities, to integrate industry-relevant technology and AI training into students' regular coursework. The company reported that 7,600 of its graduates secured IT and engineering jobs last year.
This funding round comes amid a broader slowdown and consolidation within India's edtech sector.
