Caladan Obtains Cayman Islands Regulatory Registration
Caladan, a digital asset trading firm, has been registered with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA). The registration supports the company's expansion into derivatives and tokenized assets.

Caladan, a proprietary trading group and digital asset liquidity provider, announced that its Cayman Islands entity, CLDN Cayman Ltd, has been registered with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) as a Registered Person under the Securities Investment Business Act (SIBA), effective October 7, 2026.
The registration establishes a regulatory foundation in the Cayman Islands to support Caladan's institutional derivatives business. The firm is also exploring opportunities in the tokenized real-world asset (RWA) markets.
"This registration marks an important milestone for Caladan and reflects our commitment to building a trading business that meets the evolving standards of institutional markets," said Julia Zhou, President of Caladan. "As the digital asset industry matures, having the right regulatory foundations is essential to expanding our capabilities responsibly. The registration supports the next stage of our institutional derivatives strategy."
Caladan intends to develop its institutional derivatives business through CLDN Cayman Ltd and pursue liquidity provision and market-making opportunities in tokenized real-world assets. These activities will be conducted within the entity's permitted scope and subject to applicable laws and further regulatory requirements.
