The California Science Center will begin accepting advance reservations for the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center, home of the Space Shuttle Endeavour, starting October 21, 2026. The new center opens to the public on November 13.

The California Science Center in Los Angeles will commence advance reservations for the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center, the permanent home of the Space Shuttle Endeavour, on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. Reservations will be available from 9:30 a.m. local time, ahead of the new air and space center's public opening on Friday, November 13, 2026.
California Science Center Members will receive early access to reservations, beginning Monday, October 19. Jeffrey Rudolph, President and CEO of the California Science Center, stated that the opening of reservations fulfills a long-held dream and allows for the display of Endeavour in its permanent exhibition space.
The Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center is a 200,000-square-foot expansion, nearly doubling the museum's exhibit space. The center features over 100 artifacts and 100 new interactive exhibits focusing on science, technology, and engineering. Its three galleries are part of the museum's three-decade master plan.
The Space Shuttle Endeavour will be displayed vertically in a launch-ready configuration, complete with solid rocket boosters and the last flight-qualified external tank, ET-94. While general admission to the museum is free, advance reservations are strongly encouraged for the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center due to anticipated high demand. A small reservation service fee applies, which is waived for museum members.
